I studied at aiki martial arts for most of my older teen years. John Goss is a awsome instructor that I still wish I had an opertunity to train with. The school Is well infulinced with japanese culture and upholds tradtion this is not some school that is like a Gym it is a true dojo. And The inside looks so I should know I help build it. I as a student had an opertuinty to be apart of the school not just to do martial arts but to help it grow. John Goss works well with students of all types and ages.He teaches true Budo. Daito Ryu is a rare and exciting class with much backround. This was one of my favorite classes they offer. This school made me the person I am today. It was a place I grew and learned alot. The eviorment is understanding and patienet with all types. I am not the fastest learner but they taught me well. I Should know it has helped me in Multiple situation. I am curently In afghanistan and with our soft Approach on the popluation I have been grabed and Rioted on the skills he had taught me has help be detain over 23 insurgents not that i detained all of them 1 being number 3 on the afgahni FBI most wanted. Another intresting thing he taught me was the hanbo witch can translate well into a soldiers M4 so if your in the area and going to deploy soon I Hightly recomend you get some private lessons on that. I hope to one day return to my home state and return to the Dojo I have been gone from so long. So it doesn't matter how old, young , Crippled, slow, whatever John Goss is an Sensi Who will be albe to teach you well.
