Abbreviated Self Defense & Fitness
Abbreviated Self Defense is an American Martial Art derived from military Unarmed and Armed techniques taught during the 20th century. ASD is an eclectic mix of techniques taught in a practical manner. These techniques are quickly learned and have more than 100 years of proven effectiveness.
Martial Art Styles
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Abbreviated Self Defense & Fitness:
- Karate
- Kick Boxing
- WW2 Combatives and Western Stick Fighting
Programs & Class Schedule
Overview:
ASD is comprised of 3 modules that can be taught as a complete program or individually as needed by the student. Students will attend two supervised classes per week
Self Defense
Developing a working knowledge of Self Defense as soon as possible is our goal. Each student will learn a series of Unarmed techniques that teach the proper use of the hands, elbows, knees, and feet. The Armed Baton techniques, 1 hand and 2 hand, will be taught for the weapon section of the module.
Fitness
Wooden Club Swinging and a variety of Light Weights are used to maximize the physical skills and fitness level of each student.
