AK Karate by Greg Cole is a great place to bring the entire family to learn martial arts. It is not only about learning how to defend yourself, but also about self dicipline, integrity, and honor. It has given me enormous confidence that enabled me to achieve many goals both inside and out of the martial arts classroom. I love watching my son grow more confident in himself and the honor and respect he has for others. Would recommend our karate family at AK Karate to anyone.

I believe that Master Cole has offered all of his students the ability to meet and exceed their own personal goal. As a student I have been encouraged to develop my personal goals and learn ways that Karate can help me achieve them. My goal is to become the best martial artist, and learn to live as a Black Belt. Although I have many years to go before I achieve my Black Belt, I know I can look forward to the support both physically and mentally from Master Cole and the entire student body of AK Karate to make this dream come true. Live as a Black Belt!

I would like to recommend AK Karate by Greg Cole to anyone who is seeking to enter martial arts. Greg Cole is a highly respected martial artist, teaching traditions and values of Karate to all ages. When I began learning Karate under Greg Cole I had very little understanding of what it meant to be a martial artist. I have learned a great deal about myself and the impact that martial arts has in my everyday life. I have found that the values of martial arts have become a significant part of my daily life and the life of my family. My son is also dedicated to the life of a martial artist and has shown significant growth as a young man, displaying good morals, respect, and integrity, all attributes strengthened by becoming a martial artist.

Buyer Beware!!!

Greg Cole, as a martial artist is phenomenal. However, with that being said, as a person and business owner, he is unprofessional and egotistical. He doesn't charge clients equally across the board (his favorites pay less while people he feels can afford more, pay more.) He does not live by the creed HONESTY, COURTESY, RESPECT,and DISCIPLINE. I have never experienced a more dishonest person in business. He has no qualms with ripping the rug out from underneath a student (be it a child or an adult) all in the name of "It's my business and I'll do what I want to whomever I want". He builds students up, manipulates them, then tears them to shreds. His etiquette needs improvement as does his attitude. He has no communication skills and treats people disrespectiful all while hiding behind the cloak of being a Christian. This man is not to be trusted!!!!

Be cautious

I have to agree with the above comment. He is a very good martial artist but his attitude has much to be desired. He has a way of hooking you into the school, getting you to trust him, and then pulling the carpet out from under you. I was paying him to train me but he spent very little time actually training me. I made the decision to move on because I felt that he wasnt a good role model for me. If you are interested in putting your child in martial arts I dont recommend him as a role model or instructor. He has broken several contracts and as a consequence been taken to court.

Greg is one of the most exciting martial artists you will ever see. But, he is an arrogant egotistical jerk. He is so full of himself and will manipulate you and others to his benifit. Also, you will pay high prices for cheap used equipment. Every aspect of his school is high price and poor quality. Don't think that he will be teaching you either, because he will use fellow students 90% of the time and 10% is him. If he doesn't like you, he will take your money and kick you out of the school, I have seen it happen!
Approach with caution and never trust him!!!
AK Karate encourages a family atmosphere, the instructors genuinely care about each students needs. They teach values in each class that are transferred into each students daily lives. I recommend this school to anyone of any age.
