This is the place to bring your kids to learn in a developmentally age-appropriate way, and watch them learn and grow in mental and physical strength. The instructors are an excellent team, working together in fun and yet in a detailed manner appropriate to the true Martial Art of Kung Fu.

I enjoy coming to 5 Elements Martial Arts mainly because of the traditional approach that Sifu Mario teaches to his students. He really does apply the mind, body and spirit of the traditional Northern Shaolin teachings. He is very personable and is engaged in your personal success with your Martial Arts training. I have been a student of Sifu Mario for 8 plus years now and I continue to grow and learn something new each class I take. Sifu Mario has a hands on approach and makes you feel very comfortable about the lessons you are learning. I like that the class sizes are small and that allows more one on one training with the instructors. From stand up self defense, ground defense and Kung Fu forms you will be enjoying your experience you get at 5 Elements Martial Arts.

My son has been at this school since it opened its doors in December 2010. He loves it, and I do too. Sifu Mario and Instructor Ben are incredible teachers. They have taught my child forms and effective self-defense in a fun, uplifting, safe environment. The curriculum from white belt through black belt is well-defined. My son has been so proud with every promotion he has received because the promotions are not simply based on attendance, they are based on merit. Sifu Mario has done a terrific job in developing a martial arts program that motivates children to strive to do their best. Instructor Ben is also phenomenal. His ability to effectively instruct the children and hold them accountable with a sense of humor is simply amazing. My son was not interested in traditional sports; he has found his niche here. I could not be happier. And Sifu Mario and Instructor Ben have been nothing but friendly and professional with me.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND OVERALL BAD EXPERIENCE

This is a new studio, under a year in business and we already pulled our kid out of the program. Extremely unprofessional and overall bad experience.

Was blown away by the way the owner/instructor thought he could talk to me as the parent, as well as to my son. Completely overstepped his role as a martial arts instructor with what I would characterize as a "god complex."

The studio does not have a good program. There are little incentives and no clear or well defined way to move forward in belt levels. Although they have a student handbook which outlines the various moves and belt levels, they do not stick to their own game plan. This is the kind of place that you could spend months and years spinning your wheels with endless and futile mind games in my opinion.

I don't think this is a good studio for a beginner or an experienced martial artist.

We were NOT treated like a valued customer or even a customer at all. As a mother, I was very offended by the way I was talked to by this owner/martial arts instructor. This owner, Mario, seemed very humble and unassuming in the beginning. Had I known how he really was and how disrespectful he would treat us as clients, we would have never signed up with him in the first place and subjected our son to his mind games and manipulations.
