GREAT place to learn and meet new people! I would recommend it to everyone!
The place is old and needs some repairs, but the teachers make up for all of that!
I have studied here for years and have learned a lot. It's a very friendly and inviting environment with many different applications and cross training options. USJA and AAU free style judo affiliations, among others, allow for many tournament options, even hosting local tournaments. Along with sport martial arts, Kawa Shi Judo Kai is a great place to learn self defense, both hand to hand and weapons defense. Preserving judo traditions like kata practice and formal bowing, respect is at the forefront of every class and competition for Kawa Shi. If self defense or sport martial arts are not what you are looking for, Kawa Shi Judo is a great cardiovascular workout with muscular training along with mental training that only martial arts can give. Come to Kawa Shi, all ages and ability levels welcome, plus it's FREE.
