Yamabushikan teaches traditional Okinawan karate including: Goju Ryu, Shorin Ryu as well as Koryu Uchinadi.
Emphasis is placed on self defense, character development and discipline.
The dojo (training hall or place) is located at the rear of a private house. There are 3 training venues: a 400 square foot indoor training area, a 150 square foot indoor training area and a 500 square foot outdoor training deck (used in spring, summer and fall - weather permitting).
Yamabushikan is dedicated to providing affordable martial arts training, and achieves this objective by not having a cost basis which includes a commercial facility.
