First let me say that my experience with USSD has been one of the most enjoyable activities I have ever done in my life. I was very reluctant to start a martial arts program due to my age(40 plus) and what most of adults fear in joining a karate school, being out of shape and not being able to keep up. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that in this environment the lesson structure is based on your own ability and at a pace that suits each individual. I did visit a few different schools before deciding to enroll at USSD. The #1 factor why I chose this dojo was the good vibe and kind personality I got from the head instructor Sensei Stein. He listened to my concerns and since I joined he's guided me each step of the way in my classes. On a side note being the huge sports fan that I am I found out Sensei Stein is the younger brother of http://ESPN.com Senior NBA writer Marc Stein!! What can I say more about these guys, professionals through and through! I will continue to recommend this dojo to anyone looking for a martial arts program. Thank you : )
