Tri-City Shotokan Karate

Hi, my name is Michael Mc Dermott. My wife and I started Tri-City Shotokan in Phelan as a way to share Shotokan Karate with our community. We opened in Septemeber of 2007, but we still are a small community school and hold classes in the Phelan Community Center.

I started my Martial arts training in Orange County in 1976 in Shuri Ryu; for a short while. After a long Hiatus I started training again in Shotokan karate in 2002 in the City of Hesperia with Sensei Don Marquez. In 2007 I wanted to further my education in Shotokan, so I started training in Fontana with Sensei David Blair 7th Dan.
