Baguazhang - Xingyiquan - Taijiquan (Tai-Chi) - Shaolin Temple Kung-Fu
Old traditional Neijiaquan (Internal Martial Arts) practices in Chen - Yang - Sun Taijiquan (Tai-Chi), Beijing branches of Baguazhang and Xingyiquan. The teacher, having published over 13 books on Chinese martial arts, is one of the foremost direct disciples of Sun Jian-Yun of the famed Sun Lu-T'ang sect in Beijing.
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Center for Traditional Internal Chinese Bagua, Xingyi, Tai-Chi & Kung-Fu:
Traditional Chinese practices in Cheng T'ing-Hua style Baguazhang in both Liu Bin, Gao and Sun Lu-T'ang branches. Classical sword, deer-horn knives, spear, Kwan Dao, long staff and other traditional weapons are taught. Sun Lu-T'ang style Xingyiquan and old traditional Shaolin Temple practices are taught as part of the curriculum.
Traditional old Tai-Chi from the Chen, Sun, and Yang family lineages are taught in each class. Specialization in Sun Lu-T'ang style Tai-Chi. The old Tai-Chi weapons: long lance, knife and sword are taught. Also taught are the practices of Ch'eng Man-Ching, as he taught in Taiwan.
The class is divided into two sections: Section 1 ~ those who want to study the traditional methods of combat applications according to Baguazhang, Xingyiquan and the other Chinese martial arts that we teach; Section 2 ~ those who want to study traditional Tai-Chi and ancient Chinese health arts involving Qigong (the development of Life Force). Students can study both sections without any additional cost.
Age requirement: 18 to 120 years old.
No contracts. No hidden fees. Tuition is month by month.
Class times: Tuesdays (5:30pm-7:30pm) and Saturdays (9:30am-12:30pm).
We realize that traffic and work schedules hinder travel time so, students can come to class late and leave as needed.
Come to watch a class and/or participate in the first class free.
Tuition will be explained should you decide to join.
Instructor lived in China, Japan and Taiwan full-time for 13 years (1984-97), having studied under many of the Guo Bao (National Treasures), the foremost masters in China at that time. Also studied under a senior monk for many years at the original Shaolin Temple, China.
Current classes are composed of students from ages 18 to 78.
