I have been a student at Tiger Kim's Academy for a few years. I walked in and besides saying hi the first thing he asked for was a check. I asked why because it was in the middle of the month and I haven't paid yet. I normally pay at the end of the month but he said that it was on the contract. I asked to see the contract and he wouldn't show it to me he just changed the subject to the check. All I wanted to do was see the contract. I was also two in a half years into my contract and asked if the contract was over because I was wanting to make a different commitment to something else because I normally like to try out many different things. I have paid the check and have been still denied the check. My dad will call and ask to see it. He says my parents have to come in and see the contract and I can't take it to them.

When I visited them, the owners were there to explain everything and gave me a tour. I asked them several times if I could get a month to month deal and they said it wasn't possible but that I could sign that contract and I could leave whenever I wanted without penalties. I joined and that same day I got injured. The contract said I had 3 days to terminate and I called them within those 3 days but mysteriously, no one was available to talk to me. The owners were all "busy" and when I finally got to talk to the secretary (way past the 3 days) but she said I had to come in.

When I went to talk to them, they were extremely rude and lied about the "deal" that they gave me. They are terrible and their sales practices should be considered illegal. They broke their contract by ignoring the terms of the contract and ignoring my calls. I was stuck with a two year contract that was passed on to a collections agency which also lies to you constantly. Telling me they had called me 3 times when I had never received mail or calls from them. I submitted a complaint to the BBB and after several back and forth messages they determined they couldn't do anything and classified the complaint as a "closed complaint". Be advised, this does not mean they have resolved the complaints, it just means the BBB can do nothing more to help. Check the BBB, currently and within the last 3 years, they have had 9 complaints!!!! That should be a sign that tells you not to join.

They teach with lots of heart and soul.
