Shudokan Karate-Do was created by Toyama, Kanken and contains all of the Okinawan systems, Nahate, Shurite, and Tomorite. Shudokan was created and is considered an old style of Karate and is not considered Modern Karate. Our Kata contain the original Bunkai as it was decades ago and is considered Budo Karate not Sport Karate. Joseph Alvarez has been doing and studying Shudokan Karate-Do since 1970, his instructor was Carl Lang, Sensei.
Joseph Alvarez, sensei was promoted by the Okinawan Martial Arts Federation, Grandmaster Ron Helling and the Board in March 2017 to Ninth Degree Black Belt and his title is Hanshi-Sei.
