Reviews of Ryukyu Kempo - Renken Kan

My family and I recently took the family self-defense course that Renken Kan teaches at their location in the Lebanon Valley Mall, and we had a great experience! We had previously taken another self-defense course locally, and we were not happy.

A friend of mine that took Renken Kan's Women's Tactical Training Course said she was very happy with the high level of training that she received, and highly recommended that we check out the dojo.

We stopped in the following week and were very impressed! They have endorsements from the military and even had a letter of appreciation from the Secretary of Defense!

The 4 week class that my family and I took was awesome! I would have given this a 10 star rating if one was available.

My family and I had a great time and learned life protection skills that were easy to learn and are very effective in stopping an attack.

We recently enrolled 2 of our children at the Ryukyu Kempo Renken Kan dojo at the Lebanon Valley Mall, and we are extremely happy with the level of training that our children have received! Sensei Von Arx is an incredible instructor, and our children always look forward to class. I highly recommend Renken Kan and wouldn't take our children to anyone else.

I loved it!!! I recently took Jim’s Women’s Tactical Training, and I am thrilled with the results! Before I took the training class, I had no idea how to stop an attacker or even how to punch correctly. But now, I am very confident that if I’m every faced with an attacker, that I can effectively protect myself and my loved ones; it’s a Great Feeling!

I recently took the woman's tactical training course, and it was Awesome! The blocks and strikes were easy to use, and very effective! I'm looking forward to taking Renken Kan Ryukyu Kempo's level II course in the spring!

I took the women’s tactical self-defense course that Von Arx Sensei teaches, and I couldn’t be happier. Jim’s great personality put me at ease, which made it easy to learn the techniques. My confidence is at a level where it’s never been. I know that if I’m faced with a potential life or death situation, that I will be able to defend myself. I would highly recommend this course!
