I started attending Tram Fearless just over a year ago. I had suffered from pain from an open heart surgery in 2018 and was extremely inactive and overweight. I was miserable and had no idea the things that were going on inside my heart that were unknown to my medical team and to me that were getting worse progressively.

My first surgery led to a bunch of complications over the next 5 years including a fully blocked coronary artery-I am 38 years old. So for that last year that I’ve been attending Team Fearless my blocked artery actually re-grew a bypass that was fully sufficient and I lost weight, gained confidence, found a life passion in MMA/kickboxing, the pain I was in went away.

Most importantly, Team Fearless got me in the best shape and strength I’ve ever been in and therefore put me in the best shape to undergo a second open heart surgery that I just had on Nov 17th. I’ll spare gory details but I’m lucky to have made it through this surgery and I attribute that to my Team, my family and an AMAZING surgeon in Boston Dr. Jordan Bloom.

Fearless Family Martial Arts is a family friendly dojo focused on building life skills while teaching martial arts. Whether you are a novice looking to try martial arts for the first time, a black belt looking to sharpen your skills or a Mom looking to get back into shape Fearless Family Martial Arts has something for everyone. My daughter has been a member of the Fearless Family for over a year and they truly are part of our extended family. The coaches are excellent and do a great job of connecting with kids at all levels. As a Mom with limited athletic ability and no martial arts experience I was intimidated to join the adult class but from the first minute of the first class I was welcomed and encouraged to do my best at whatever level that worked for me.

Inconsistent. Very dirty facility. Overpriced. Makes a lot of empty promises. Doesn’t always show up to class.

There is a reason why the turn over rate is so large. Don’t waste your time with this establishment.

Calling this place a dojo is a joke. Robb may have had some talent a decade ago. But at this point he cannot get out of a chair or pick something up off the floor. He is always trying to sell you something by inflating your ego. It’s a con. No one is loosing 8-12 lbs in a month drinking his mystery drink. He’s grasping at straws and has lost sight of what a true dojo is. Don’t be fooled by his or his wife’s narcissistic smooth talking salesman ways it’s not a family he just wants your money.

It’s very clear that Robb is passionate about what he does. His expertise shines. Robb encouraging and supportive while giving you an intense total body workout that will leave your body thankful and tired! I look forward to growing more with Robb's support and the support of this gym community.

I am new to Fearless Family - and I really enjoy Robb’s classes. Robb does a great job making sure you do everthing correctly while pushing you to do your best, he clearly knows what he is doing. He immediately makes you feel welcome as part of the team and there is no intimidation factor. If want to get in shape, learn some skills, feel like you’re part of his team and have a few laughs while doing it, this place is for you.

So glad to have Robb Buckland help me obtain my fitness goals both physically and mentally.

I saw a friend post on Facebook about this great kickboxing class! I decided to give it a try since I wasn’t really motivated to do anything else. I tried kickboxing in high school, but I was in much better shape back then. This is one of the best workouts I’ve done and the girls and Robb are awesome. Not only do you leave drenched it sweat, you learn live saving skills. I love going and would recommend this to everyone! Trust me you will not regret it. It definitely is an experience!!!

I work Full time and I’m a mother it’s my me time 3 times a week. I’ve even had to bring the baby on occasion. They work with you and your schedule and make you feel important. I am so glad I started going. I’m now 12 lbs away from pre baby weight and they are going to get me there. The suppose really helps ou stick to it.

I have known Robb Buckland Sensei for a while now and I have come to see his knowledge is deep in martial arts that he offers. He trains his students well. They get real self defense concepts and principles and a great workout. If you want a good self defense school and to get into great physical shape, then team Fearless is your place to train at. For over 10 years, Robb Buckland has been one of my favorite instructors to learn from and teach with. His knowledge base is very broad, representing influences from many different sources both modern and traditional. His skill as a teacher is outstanding, but what truly stands out with Robb is that he is a completely genuine human being who honestly cares for his students, loves the martial arts, and never sacrifices his authenticity or the integrity of his teaching.

I view Robb as a friend and colleague, as well as one of my instructors. No matter what your goals, you will come away from training with him much better than you were before. If you have the opportunity to train here, I highly reccommend that you do.

I am a 30 year practitioner of the arts and own and run my own school. I began teaching with Robb Buckland over 10 years ago at Terry Dow's annual symposium. He and I hit it off immediately. Since then, he has become not only an instructor to me, but a friend and a great resource for my continued growth.

Robb's knowledge base is one of the most complete around, encompassing traditional, modern, sport. And reality based self defense. He has trained with and incorporated the systems of some of the greatest teachers of our time into his method.

I've known Robb Buckland for years on a personal level, and I was there when he first initiated his school in Maine. It is a privilege to know such a dedicated and talented Martial Arts instructor. He embodies the tenets that he teaches, and imbues same to those he teaches.

I have been to 2 different martial arts schools before Fearless Family Martial Arts and both of them focused on the different forms (varied on belt level), and not on basic self defense for real world application. This school focuses much more on what to do for real world application, and it builds off of your natural instincts and reflexes. This is by far the best school I have been to.

Kyoshi Robb Buckland is an entertaining man, which I feel is critical in order to effectively teach anything. He has trained under the best in the world and created his own unique, relevant approach. I have met few people who come close to the breadth and depth of his knowledge and I have learned a great deal from him. I would encourage anyone to attend his school.

I love that I'm a part of Robb's fearless family. They are super flexible I'm a full time working mother. So finding time can be a bit difficult. They make it work for me. When I feel I'm doing horrible they always make me feel like I'm killing it. It's a good place to go to help with the stresses of life. I would recommend highly to anyone interested. Or no interested for that matter because it's fun enough that after you do it once you'll want to do it again.

I recently participated in two NSF/Team Fearless' "Fight Fall and React" classes and absolutely loved them! They are not only extremely knowledgeable and experienced, but also very entertaining! They provide a safe and fun environment for all involved.

He has keen attention/perception into the unique nature of each of his students, and is thus excellent at catering to our individual needs as artists, while still nourishing and honoring the familial web we belong to. Hello I have trying to do martial arts for over 40 for years I'm a 13 time world champion and currently ranked number one competitor. I tell you that because I want you to know when I say Rob but there was one of the best martial arts instructors in the world I know what I'm talking about. He has consistently sought out and trained with the best martial art instructors in the world and when I say bad I mean Legends. When and which him and I both share as a mentor and instructor in the late Grandmaster Joe Lewis, voted best fighter of all time twice. I could go on and on with the list but I wanted to tell you about Rob, this man really has dedicated his life to the martial arts. He is very serious about helping others and making sure that they have an awesome experience in the martial arts. He cares about his students and I highly recommend it if you live in the area, if not then contact Rob and have him come out to your school and do one of his amazing seminars, trust me you won't regret it. Robb is an amazing instructor with a passion for helping people grow into confident, capable fighters. He genuinely cares about your progress and will make time to cover and practice the techniques and movements that you might be struggling with. I've trained under Master Buckland for almost 10 years. This man is incredibly dedicated to his training and furthering his knowledge in a wide variety of martial arts. He learns from and trains with the best martial artists out there. He is willing to pass this training and knowledge on to his students ; as he believes it is his duty to do so. I met Kyoshi Buckland in the nick of time. I moved to the area from NYC to flee from an extremely abusive situation. As a rape and domestic violence survivor I was emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically drained from being victimized for over a year by my abuser.

I unfortunately stopped training for almost one year. He made sure to stay in touch, check up on me &, of course, send me a random "Get To Class!" message every now & then.

This school is patient, uplifting, kind, jovial and sincere. A true oasis for people on a search for something more and something great.

Master Robb Buckland is a superb martial arts instructor. Trained in a broad selection of martial arts ranging from jiu-jitsu to karate, Master Buckland has a well rounded program that any student could learn from and enjoy.
