Martial Art Styles

The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at New England Rendokan:

• Jiu-Jitsu (Jujutsu/Jujitsu)
• Kobudo
• Shorin Ryu Karate

Programs & Class Schedule

All classes are based on traditional Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate and Self Defense. Students learn more than just how to defend themselves. They learn self control, to work hard, to work with others, how to avoid a confrontation, how to reduce the chances of being attacked and how to maximize their own strengths. Students will build a more positive attitude, self esteem and respect for themselves and others.
Morning Class
Wed & Fri 9:30 am to 11:00 am
This class is great for people that can get away for an hour in the morning. Take a break from your day and join us in learning an Okinawan tradition.

Senior Class
Wed & Fri 11:00 am to noon
This class is geared to helping seniors ease into fitness and the martial way. Many times people are encouraged to start working hard, which leads to over sore muscles and injuries. We encourage all students to move at their own pace, slowly getting into shape and avoiding injuries.

3 to 5 year olds/parents
Wed & Fri 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Wed & Fri 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

This class is geared to the needs of the younger child. We teach them age appropriate lessons helping build their foundation with strength, discipline and confidence. Improved confidence leads to better success in school and life.

This provides a great opportunity for parents to participate in an activity with their child.

4 to 8 year olds/parents
Mon & Wed 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
This class is geared to the needs of the younger child. We teach them age appropriate lessons helping build their foundation with strength, discipline and confidence. Improved confidence leads to better success in school and life.

All ages 4 to adult
Mon & Wed 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm Fri 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Although this class is great for families that want to take lessons together, it is also a good class for all ages. Since the makeup of this class varies, we teach lessons geared towards the needs and situation of those students taking the class.
