Reviews of National Karate School

I started classes at this school when I was nine years old and continued until college. The school does a great job of stretching each of its students beyond what they believed they could do and not only grows them physically but places great importance on respect, hard work, and perseverance. Mr. Sutherland who runs the school is phenomenal. Up and down the National Karate organisation the integrity of its leaders is clear, and he tops the chart. His knowledge is vast and his ability to teach is obvious, and his classes are challenging but exhilarating. This school also routinely turns out top competitors in local and national tournaments.

I have visited other schools where they really were only good at teaching kids, but here adults are able to thrive and be stretched beyond their goals as well. I couldn't recommend it more highly and I would still be attending if I hadn't moved from the area.

If you are looking to get active, help your child or yourself build character, train at a top school to compete, learn how to protect yourself, or have been thinking about joining karate for a while, you couldn't do better than National Karate in Ramsey.

My son has been going here for almost a year now, and I am disappointed that the students don't really have to earn their belts. It really is all about money. No matter how bad someone is, as long as they keep giving checks, they will get their next belt. If you are looking for your child to start karate, and truly want them to succeed with hard work, look elsewhere!
