Martial Arts: It’s not just what we do, it’s who we are!
The Martial Arts Academy began with the premise that the knowledge and physical disciplines handed down through centuries of masters can directly enhance the quality of life in this day. We believe that the concept of readiness balanced with a peaceful existence can equip us to face the everyday challenges which inevitably cross our paths.
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Mattevi's Martial Arts Academy:
Kids' Karate: Using kids' interest in karate we not only teach them the skills necessary to advance from white belt to black belt, but teach them the values and character traits that help them become the best they can be. It is a structured and disciplined program where respect for fellow-students reigns supreme.
Ages 6-12 M-TH 5:00pm; F 5:30pm
Mini Ninjas (Preschool Karate): This class is for kids ages 3-5 who really want to be in karate but are old enough to train with older kids. While they learn the same things as the older kids, the teaching methods and learning pace are age appropriate. Mini Ninjas will attended one 30 minute class per week.
Mon 4:30am; Fri 4:30pm
Adult Karate: This is a structure and discipline program designed to promote a high level of fitness, mark the achievements through our ranking system and create a healthy lifestyle with those who share a common interest.
T/TH 6:00 pm; Fri 5:30
Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: The grappling art made famous by the Gracie family. A great workout and a fun sport. Students learn how to effectively defend themselves from the ground.
M/W 7:00 pm; Fri 7:30; T/Th 10:00 am
Muay Thai (Thai Kickboxing): This martial art is the national sport of Thailand and is one of the most comprehensive stand-up fighting arts there is.
M/W 6:00 pm: Fri 6:30 pm
