The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Kings Bay Taekwondo:
Tuesdays and Thursdays
Lil’ Warriors 5:30 pm – 6:15 pm -- Ages 4-6
Young martial artists will learn the basic principles of Taekwondo: Stances, punches, blocks, kicks, etc. and aid in their growth as a student. Students will also be introduced to the Tenants of Taekwondo – Courtesy, Modesty, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit – the foundation of every Taekwondo artist. With these tools, Lil’ Warriors will progress through their own belt ranking until they are able to advance to their next class.
TKD I 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm -- Ages 7-12
Young martial artists will develop a strong understanding of the Tenants of Taekwondo. They will also continue to expand their understanding of the fundamentals of Taekwondo – stances, punches, blocks, kicks, forms, and one-step sparring (a scenario-based exercise to reinforce their self-defense training).
TKD II 6:15 pm – 7:30 pm -- Adults and ages 13 and up
or Blue Belt and above
In TKD II, students ages 13 and above as well as students brown belt and above will continue the fundamentals they have developed in previous classes. They will also learn more advanced Taekwondo techniques like aerial kicks, self-defense, and weaponry (nunchakus, bo staff, and knife work).
