KARATE ACADEMY - worst business

My son attended after-school care there last year. It was okay. ..kind of Wal-Mart version of martial arts. At the end of the last school year, we told them that we intended on keeping him there this school year. However, I got a new job teaching, my son attends my school, and now I no longer need after school care. This company and their billing agency is telling me that I am obligated to pay for the year of services there ($2700) since I "chose" for him to go to another school not in their territory (they will not pick up at my new school) and that the only way to stop an after school program there is to provide a mortgage or lease doc stating that we moved or if there is a medical condition. These conditions were not shared with me upon enrollment. Nor was the subsequent $250 fee for sparring gear (for a six year old) and the $45 belt fees. I have stopped their ability to draft payments from my account. ..but thought that others might be interested in knowing about their business practices. Especially since they are building their business off of Northside ISD parents and children.
