“Learn from the root, not the fruit!” -Brian Hobson, Hanshi

What better way to learn martial arts then with the most experienced and qualified instructor in Hampton Roads? Most of the Karate (and many other systems on Eastern Virginia have lead instructors who were taught by Sensei Hargrove. Come in for free lesson, and tell him Blaine sent you!

Mr. Hargrove combines the skill aspect of karate with the reality that with whatever your situation may present you, it is up to you to deal with it in the most effective way possible.

He is great with the younger children and often during their sparring one of them may take a solid punch or kick and will want to cry, get scared and perhaps give up. He will talk to these children and effectively communicate with them that crying is not the best way to deal with the pain and that they should make the other child stop hurting them by concentrating and fighting back even harder. Amazingly, this message sinks in and the child will focus and give the best fight he or she has.

Win or lose, the child learned a little bit about dealing with adversity and doing the best you can in that type of situation.

He is very effective at bringing out a child's inner confidence and will to compete.

Based upon my personal experience with "So-called " "Kyushu" Frank Hargrove.,.I would advise any potential student to stay far away from Frank. He simply can't be trusted & is in my opinion...a disgrace to Okininawan Karate. If he's talking...he's lying...also he claims to be a Man of God...he's a dirt-bag.
