First the school has moved to 33 Kent Street, Barrington, RI 02806. You should probably use Google Maps or Nav to find it. Kent Street runs between New Meadow Road and Sowams Road.
Second it is a small dojo but so are the classes.
You get a lot of private instruction even in the group classes.
My adult group class averages 4-5 people.
Glad I signed up ---- would definitely recommend.

I would recommend this karate studio to anyone seeking a stress free way to learn self-defense and improve fitness.
No pressure to sign long contracts. Chris Brown is a skilled and caring instructor.

Small group instruction in Kenpo Karate for children, men, and women

Been studying with Chris Brown for seven years. Great instructor. Low stress environment.
Small group class for men and women.
Separate children's classes.
Private lessons available.
Live online lessons work for me since I moved to Florida.
Very, very reasonable rates.
I started as a completely out of shape 60 year old and lost 35 lbs my first year.
I return every summer to participate in group lessons.

Chris Brown is an excellent karate instructor. He has the qualities that make a great teacher, the ability to inspire the adept pupil and the patience to deal with the slower student.
One of the reasons I chose this karate school was the small classes and individual attention I received.
I am now living in Florida and rather than find another dojo and instructor, I have chosen to take private lessons online with Chris. I fly back to Barrington for group lessons when I can. Chris has patiently brought me from white belt to brown and I intend to be a student of Coastal Self Defense until Black Belt and beyond.
Wasn't sure this would be for me. The classes are small so I don't feel that self-conscious. I like that you have to wear shoes. Other places I checked out were shoe-less and smelled like it too.
Definitely do the private lessons, the group lessons are great but I'd be lost without the private lessons.
