The Dojo Aikido Zurich was founded in 1986 by Kurt Bartholet (6. Dan Hombu Dojo Aikikai Tokyo and 5. Dan Bukiwaza Iwama Ryu). Together with him there are other Aikido teachers.
The Dojo Aikido Zurich is member of the Aikikai Liechtenstein Federation. The Aikikai Liechtenstein Federation is accredited member of the Aikikai World Headquarter. The Dojo Aikido Zurich is authorized to perform examinations (Hombu Dojo, Aikikai Tokyo) in all levels up to to the master's degrees.
