Aikido of Red Bank

Aikido of Red Bank has strong roots in the practice of traditional Aikido, a powerful, yet peaceful, martial art. We are affiliated with the United States Aikido Federation, headed by Y. Yamada, 8th dan, Shihan, direct student of the founder, Morihei Ueshiba, or O'Sensei.

Chief Instructor James Soviero has been practicing Aikido since 1991 and holds the rank of Godan, or 5th degree black belt. He is a certified instructor, Shidoin, recognized by the United States Aikido Federation. He continues to grow his skills by training at the NY Aikikai weekly and by attending several seminars conducted by Shihan (master instructors) every year.

Programs & Class Schedule

Aikido of Red Bank offers classes in Aikido 7 days a week. Children's classes (age 6-12) are available 4 days a week. Our complete schedule is at http://www.aikidoredbank.com/schedule.html. We also have a class for teens (12-18) every Friday afternoon. Many of our teens also participate in our adult classes with permission of the Chief Instructor.

Monday night we offer a basics class that is geared toward beginners. Wednesday night is the advanced class that requires rank or permission of the Chief Instructor. You are welcome to observe any class at any time. Visitors are welcome to try a free class.

We have no contracts. You are welcome to join for however long you wish, (monthly, quarterly, annual) and are eligible to attend all classes during your membership. We offer several convenient payment plans and are very affordable.
